JEE Main 2026: NTA Begins Application Process for January Session Exam
JEE Main 2026 Application Begins:
The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main 2026) application forms on October 31, 2025. The last date to register for the January session exam is November 27 (up to 9 PM). Candidates can pay the application fee via credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI till November 27, 11:50 PM.
JEE Main 2026 Exam Dates:
Like previous years, JEE Main 2026 will also be conducted in two sessions —
Candidates can select up to four cities from the state of their current or permanent address as preferred exam centers. If a city has fewer candidates, NTA may merge cities or allot a different city for administrative reasons. Foreign candidates must choose exam cities based on their current and permanent address, with at least one city in India being mandatory.
Documents Required and Important Instructions:
In a notification released on September 29, 2025, the NTA advised candidates to ensure that all their documents are updated and valid before filling out the JEE Main 2026 application form, including —
Aadhaar Card
UDID Card (for candidates with disabilities)
Category Certificates (EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL)
This step aims to avoid discrepancies or rejection at later stages of the admission process.
