Eligible Criteria for Indian Coast Guard Latest Recruitment Notice 2022

Age Limit & Relaxation:- Branch – General Duty (GD):- Born between 01 Jul 1997 to 30 Jun 2001 (Both dates inclusive). (05 Years relaxation for personnel serving in Coast Guard or equivalent personnel in Army/Navy/Air Force)

Branch – Commercial Pilot Licence (SSA):- Born between 01 Jul 1997 to 30 Jun 2003 (Both dates inclusive).

Branch – Technical (Mechanical):- Born between 01 Jul 1997 to 30 Jun 2001 (Both dates inclusive). (05 Years relaxation for personnel serving in Coast Guard)

Branch – Technical (Electrical/Electron ics):- Born between 01 Jul 1997 to 30 Jun 2001
(Both dates inclusive). (05 Years relaxation for personnel serving in Coast Guard)

Branch – Law Entry:- Born between 01 Jul 1993 to 30 Jun 2001 (Both dates inclusive). (05 Years relaxation for personnel serving in Coast Guard or equivalent personnel in Army/Navy/Air Force)

a. Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/Stand 3 years for OBC (non-creamy layer) applicants applicable only if posts are reserved for them.

b. Maximum 5% relaxation in aggregate in the degree certificate for SC/ST aspirants. No relaxation is applicable for 12th class marks except CPL-SSA entry.

c. In case the candidates are awarded grades/ CGPA instead of marks, the conversion of grades/ CGPA to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the University from where they have obtained the degree/school board.

d. Candidates having Integrated Post-Graduation are also eligible provided they should have a certificate issued by the respective Institution/ University, certifying that the candidate has passed the qualifying Degree (with Percentage/Class) as a part of the Integrated Post Graduation Course and the candidate is eligible for award of Graduation Degree. The candidate has to upload the certificate carrying Name, Father’s name, Date of Birth, Registration Number/ Roll No. during the registration.

e. Income certificate for EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) as per Government of India format (no other format will be entertained) and related regulations.

Qualification:- a. Should hold a degree of recognized university with minimum 60% aggregate marks.

b. Should have passed 12th class or equivalent with physics and mathematics as subjects with minimum 55% aggregate marks in Mathematics and Physics. The candidates who have completed diploma are also eligible, provided they should possess an aggregate of 55% marks in diploma with physics and mathematics in its curriculum.

c. Should hold an Engineering degree of recognised university in Naval Architecture or Mechanical or Marine or Automotive or Mechatronics or Industrial and Production or Metallurgy or Design or Aeronautical or Aerospace with minimum 60% aggregate marks.

Mode of Selection: The selection of Officer Recruits is based on an all India order of merit which is based on the performance of applicant in various stages (I – V) of examination (explained in detail below) and the number of vacancies available for the post. Clearing of Stage I, II, III, IV and V is compulsory for recruitment in ICG. All aspirants will be compulsorily subjected to biometric, photo identification and document verification during various stages of examination.
