Impact of Montha

The Meteorological Department has predicted light rainfall in several districts of Bihar. Earlier, a three-day weather alert had been issued. There will be no significant change in temperature over the next 48 hours, but if rain occurs, the cold may intensify. The impact of Cyclone Montha is being felt across several states, including Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Rain is also expected in Delhi on October 30.

Winter has started knocking on the doors of North India, and it seems the time has come to bring out the warm clothes. The Montha cyclone, which developed along the eastern coast near Andhra Pradesh and Odisha, is causing a drop in temperature. So far, at least three people have lost their lives due to this cyclone.

Because of the weather changes triggered by Cyclone Montha, rainfall is expected in Delhi, Bihar, UP, and many other northern states. The Meteorological Department has also emerged an alert. In eastern Uttar Pradesh, rain alerts have been released for 17 districts. Meanwhile, Delhi is likely to experience light showers on October 30.

What Will the Weather Be Like in Delhi After the Rain?

The Delhi government attempted to induce artificial rainfall on Tuesday, October 28, but was unsuccessful. However, now that the IMD has forecast natural rainfall, it’s expected that pollution levels may drop if it rains. According to the IMD, the cold will increase rapidly in Delhi after November 1.

Will the Cold Increase in UP After the Rain?

In Uttar Pradesh, light to moderate rainfall is expected on October 30, accompanied by strong winds. A rain alert has also been issued for October 31. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in several districts, including Mau, Varanasi, Jaunpur, and Prayagraj. In addition, Ayodhya, Barabanki, Jalaun, Bareilly, and Raebareli are also likely to receive rainfall.

What’s the Weather Situation in Bihar?

According to the Meteorological Department, light rain may occur in some districts of Bihar. Earlier, a three-day alert for bad weather had been issued. On Wednesday, light to moderate rain was recorded in around 12 districts.

However, the IMD stated that there will be no major change in maximum or minimum temperatures in Bihar over the next 48 hours. Still, if rainfall occurs, the cold is expected to intensify.
